| Event Name: | BIS West Midlands |
| Description: | Astronomers to space authors to rocket scientists - meet them all at Space Day
For some time a group of BIS members in the UK West Midlands have been discussing with HQ the setup of a BIS regional group. Good news - on the 21st of Jan 2012 the first of the West Midlands Group events “Space Day” will be happening at Droitwich library. The event has been organised by the West Midlands Group and is an opportunity for Midlands based organisations and individuals with an interest in Space to advertise themselves, their activities to the public and of course get people together in the local library.
The BIS will of course have a stand and it is hoped that prospective and existing BIS members in the Midlands will come along to the event. The plan is to hold four meetings a year at Droitwich Library, the first being Space Day on the 21st, and the others being Saturday afternoon meetings. Details of future meetings will be published here on the Website and in the Society Magazines as well as on the Droitwich Library website.
