Guided Walk: In Sickness and in Health
Sunday 23 October, 11.00-13.00
Bloomsbury was once desperately poor and crammed with slums; it has also been a crucible of medical reform, and the setting for triumphs and tragedies in the lives of London’s ordinary folk.
Walk prepared and led by Richard Barnett, author of 'Medical London'. Places can be reserved through the Bloomsbury Festival website from 1 October.
London is a wonderful place, and we’re delighted that once again this autumn Bloomsbury will be alive with all that’s best about it.
We’re returning with another fabulous free programme, taking place across this glorious square mile of central London, filled with greenery, galleries, new ideas, and the treasures of many marvellous museums.
The Festival team are working with over 100 local organisations and individuals, cooking up creative shenanigans, and participatory pleasures which will bring a smile to your face this October.
There’s beautiful art, great music, fascinating walks, perceptive poetry, creative crafts, amazing dance, delicious food and - not least - fun to be had. We have over 150 great events lined up - and it’s still all free.
