| Event Name: | Burning with Love - Rumi Concert |
| Description: | “I am burning with Love. Does anyone need a light? You can set your rubbish ablaze from the fire within me.” - Rumi
Though rooted in 13th Century Islamic culture, Rumi’s universality of spirit transcends creeds, lands, and even time, and is a profound voice of inspiration to our true humanity. His passionate, wise, and beautiful words still have a remarkable ability to touch contemporary audiences - firing the imagination and nourishing the heart.
To celebrate the approach of Valentines Day we will be astounded by the work of the great 13C Sufi Poet and Mystic Jelaludin Rumi. Rumi’s profound awakening and poetic genius enables him to address the deepest pain and need in every apparently separate self, of whatever tradition or culture. Hearing Rumi can be experienced as a direct transmission of pure devotion.
Rumi’s poetry is considered by many to be the greatest of all time. He is without doubt comparable to Shakespeare. Rumi’s words have an almost magical ability to speak directly to the heart of people of all races and faiths. He excludes no-one, touching people at intellectual, spiritual and emotional levels. He is a friend to all people and people everywhere can receive his wisdom, insight and compassion.
