| Description: | As a Company, we support the charity Shooting Star CHASE and along with all our other fundraising activities and excursions with the children and teenagers, our MD’s wife (Izabela) also hosts a Dinner and Dance every year around December time to raise money for the cause. Izabela is a professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing; and combined with her love of Shooting Star CHASE and the service they provide, this amazing fundraising Dinner and Dance was put into fruition. This event has been running for several years, and raises a lot of money but this year we are all hoping to raise more!
The Charity
This phenomenal independent charity, Shooting Star CHASE, provides love and support for children who won’t reach their 19th Birthday’s...but not only this, they also support the entire family unit as well. They get very minimal government support, and mostly all of the money needed is received through fundraising. The two hospices cost them a staggering £23,000 a day to staff and run and the best part of it is, they do it all with a smile on their faces. The two hospices are complete with bedrooms, apartments (for parents and siblings), sensory rooms, swimming pools, gorgeous gardens and more. Both Izabela and myself have been lucky enough to be given tours of both hospices and meet some of the children and teenagers with varying health problems...it is truly touching and we feel honoured just to be able to do our part to help.
The Dinner and Dance
This glamorous and exciting evening held at Twickenham Rugby Stadium consists of dinner and dancing, from the professional ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dancers! On top of the £85 per head ticket charge to raise money (tables are also available), there is also an auction with kindly donated ‘money-can’t buy’ prizes from various Companies. There is a chance to get up and dance later on in the evening, and from feedback from previous events, we know how much the guests enjoy this portion of the evening!
