Hot on the heels of our launch of the Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2012 competition, this introductory course provides an excellent introduction to digital astrophotography. The course covers everything from the equipment required, through planning shoots, to processing images. Students will be given advice on how all kinds of cameras can be used in astrophotography during the course, and are encouraged to bring their own camera if they have one, even if it is a compact camera. This course runs twice per year.
