Essential Stress Management
|
|
| Event Name: | Essential Stress Management |
| Description: | How can we not be stressed when all we’ve been hearing around us in the last year is credit crunch, recession, job security, redundancies, etc? Even if it doesn’t affect us directly in many cases it affects our families, friends, neighbours or colleagues.
Everyone react differently to stress. Some may experience panic attacks, insomnia, headaches, aggression while others may get an upset stomach or smoke excessively. Many people don’t even realise how stressed they are until it gets really bad. Consequently, it can affect your work, relationships with the loved ones and health.
Not everyone realises this but it is not the situation that causes stress, but it is how we react to it. From brain’s point of view, everything we do and everything around us can be perceived as stress. From eating a breakfast in the morning to making a presentation at work.
Stress occurs when we react negatively to a certain situation or event. By changing a negative reaction to a positive one, our perception and feelings about the situation or event also become positive.
This two week workshop will give you an opportunity and tools to reduce and manage your stress and pressure effectively.
