| Description: | This year’s Frontiers+ Festival focuses on the work of Internationally acclaimed German composer and theatre artist Heiner Goebbels, who will be in residence at this year’s festival. We are presenting a number of events featuring his music alongside other exciting works by our very own talented composers. The week will culminate in an exciting new programme by our ensemble-in-residence decibel and a portrait of Heiner Goebbels by the Thallein ensemble on Friday. On Thursday 22nd March, we will also be presenting a full day of talks, films, including a chance to hear Heiner Goebbels in conversation about his work and approach.

| Event Agenda: | This festival is the first part of our celebration of Goebbels’ work this year. The second part will take place on 22nd and 23rd June, when Birmingham Conservatoire - as part on the start of the Cultural Olympiad - present two major works by the composer: Our orchestra will play excerpts from Surrogate Cities while a new collaboration by the celebrated Ensemble Klang, BCMG alongside performers from Birmingham Conservatoire will present the UK Premiere of Heiner Goebbels Walden. |
