Event Name:	Great North Swim in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Description:	The Great North Swim is the biggest open water swimming event in the UK in the stunning location of the Low Wood Marina, Windermere in the Lake District. Safe in the knowledge that expert kayakers and safety boats are with you every stroke of the way, whether you're new to outdoor swimming or highly experienced, please join us at what promises to be another fabulous swim challenge. The 2-mile swim kicks off the weekend on Friday 22 June with the 1/2 mile and one mile swims taking place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June. Here's how you can swim with Team CF in the 2012 Great North Swim: 1) entries are now open but will fill quickly so please book your place online now, then let us know and we'll ask you to please raise whatever you can for us! You can also select 'Cystic Fibrosis Trust' when you enter, that way the event organisers will confirm to us that you have a place! 2) we also have a small number of charity places available in return for your pledge to raise at least £150 for us. But, the more people who get their own places whilst entries remain open, the bigger the splash Team CF can make in June. It's a truly exhilarating event that will take your breathe away for its surroundings as much as the swim itself.
