| Description: | The Hackney Pirates invite you to celebrate Christmas pirate style! We are taking over the Golden Hinde, the real warship of Sir Francis Drake (the original pirate of course).
There will be all sort of shenanigans spread over three decks for a old-fashioned nautical knees-up! The City Shanty Band are headlining, singing urban shanties to melt your heart and get your feet stomping. The rest of the time, music will be brought to you by three spine-tinglingly good DJs, spinning electroswing and disco until 12.30am. And remember that it's all in aid of the amazing Hackney Pirates, inspiring creativity and much more in Hackney's kids.
Please dress up! The fancy dress theme is 'The High Seas'. Think giant squid, starfish, sailors, sharks, mermaids, and pirates, of course.
N.B. they didn't have central heating on tudor ships! There are storage heaters in the hold, but on deck it will be chilly - wrap up warm.
There will be a bar, serving extra specially exciting rum punch, but there will be no food, so fill yer bellies before coming aboard....
