| Event Name: | High Arctic Film Weekend |
| Description: | A weekend of unique documentaries, feature films and rare archival footage exploring the Arctic people, landscape and history over the past 100 years.
Highlights include a special preview screening of the BBC's Frozen Planet series programme 7 - On Thin Ice; rare footage from early Arctic expeditions, and discussions with Inuit filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk, Prof. Chris Rapley CBE (Professor of Climate Science, University College, London), Jonathan King (Keeper of Anthropology, British Museum), Jan Faull (BFI National Archive film curator), Cape Farewell Director David Buckland and artists Nick Drake and Matt Clark (United Visual Artists).
Screenings will be interspersed with discussions and talks exploring our fascination with the Arctic and our desire to explore it; current issues facing Inuit communities; climate impacts and how visual representations and tales from the frozen North have fed our imagination.
