| Event Name: | How to validate that new product idea |
| Description: | Discover whether your idea could be turned into a profitable business, at this workshop with business advisor and experienced product developer, Bob Lindsey.
•Is it viable? Is it viable for you – or could it be viable for someone else?
•What value does the “idea” have?
•What are the barriers to market entry?
•Are their standards to meet – BSI – ISO – European Directives?
•Can it be protected?
•Can it be moneterised?
•What is the likely route-to-market?
This workshop will explain the checks and balances that should be employed at the very start of the journey.
It introduces the concept of the 'honest project review' through each part of the process at relevant milestones. It explains the principle of 'sunk' cost – and why this should be discounted when making go / no-go decisions – always hard when you’ve already invested £2,000 – but even harder when you’ve convinced your partner to sanction that second mortgage.
