| Event Name: | IoD Winter Sporting Lunch 2011 |
| Description: | The Winter Sporting Lunch is one of the most popular events in the IoD’s social calendar and attracts a large audience of members and guests to a landmark central London venue with a festive feel.
We have two of the most popular names in sport on the bill, and after lunch we’ll take a nostalgic look back their careers, get their views on the current state of their respective sports and show their career highlights on the big screen. Our speakers this year are none other than:
Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff
Hero of the 2005 Ashes series Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff has hit the headlines as much for his antics in pubs and pedalos as for his impressive performances for club and country. Since his retirement his engaging personality led him into the world of showbiz and he is now a regular on our TV screens.
Jimmy Greaves
Joining him on stage will be former England, Spurs and Chelsea footballing hero, Jimmy Greaves, who was taken to the nation’s hearts as one half of the presenting team on the ITV Saint &
Greavsie Show with its winning formula of wit, wisdom and casual jumpers. |
