| Event Name: | Merce Cunningham Dance Company |
| Description: | See a selection of iconic works by visionary choreographer Merce Cunningham performed one last time in the UK by the company he personally trained. Three rich programmes bring together six cutting-edge dances spanning 40 years and showcasing groundbreaking collaborations with artists including John Cage, Brian Eno and Andy Warhol.
Playful exuberance abounds in Antic Meet, a piece, like Second Hand, never presented before in the UK. From sensuous Pond Way to the large-scale wonder of Roaratorio, from the floating world of RainForest to the digital majesty of BIPED, each is beautifully danced by Cunningham’s gifted ensemble.
Returning to the Barbican for the eighth time, these are the company’s final London appearances, forming part of the Legacy Tour.
