Next-generation molecular and evolutionary epidemiology of infectious disease

Event Name:Next-generation molecular and evolutionary epidemiology of infectious disease
Description:Next-generation molecular and evolutionary epidemiology of infectious disease: challenges and opportunities

Organised by Dr Oliver Pybus, Professor Christophe Fraser and Professor Andrew Rambaut

The dynamic interaction between genetically-variable infectious diseases and their hosts represents one of the most complex and intensively-studied phenomena in biology. This satellite meeting will provide a forum for discussion and exploration by researchers working on inter-disciplinary approaches in genomics, immunology, epidemiology and computing. We particularly encourage the participation of early-career researchers and those working on quantitative approaches.

Registration:
This meeting is free to attend with limited places available. If you would like to be considered as a participant, please email with the following details: name, position, organisation and a short paragraph explaining your expertise and reasons for attending. Applications will be considered by the organisers.

This meeting directly follows a broader Discussion meeting on Next-generation molecular and evolutionary epidemiology of infectious disease taking place at the Royal Society in London from 14 - 15 May 2012.
