| Description: | After meeting at Kro Piccadilly, we will work our way around the Northern Quarter, where we will visit four bars including Blu. Social Circle will provide your first drink as you arrive at each of the four bars we visit.
The Northern Quarter has quickly become the most popular place to go for a night out with some of Manchesters best independent bars and traditional pubs to be found here. Located around the recently revamped High Street and the original Northern Quarter on Oldham Street, its just north of both the Arndale Centre and Piccadilly Gardens.
Whilst it has always been famed for its independent shops selling all sorts of weird and wonderful products from retro clothing, rare vinyl, collectable comics, smoking paraphernalia, unusual furniture and superb art, it is now also famed for its night life. Theres a whole host of privately owned bars and pubs opening up offering a fine array of foreign beers, local brewed casks, spirits and food.
So join us as we visit a selection of those very same bars. Included will be local hotspot, Blu. Blu was one of the first trendy bars to open in the new area of the northern quarter focused around the redeveloped Smithfield market. Named after the original name of the famous Blue Note Jazz Club, it hit the scene in quite a big way in 2004, becoming popular with Manchester’s great and good. The place itself is made up of three areas, the main bar with large panoramic windows, the dining section and the basement lounge.
The cost includes four drinks, waiter service, and all Social Circle fees. |
