| Description: | The basis in 1703 on the brink of civilized Europe of Petersburg - new capital of Russia was one of Peter I the greatest reforms. The tsar dreamed of an ideal city where all elements are coordinated with each other so that form the fine whole. This city should show to citizens of the Russian empire, and the whole world, ideas of hierarchy, an order and unity, having expressed in architectural images power of Russian absolutism.
