| Description: | Julian Lindley has worked in design consultancy for over 25 years, helping companies develop new products and interior environments. He is now a Senior Lecturer in 3D and Product Design at the University of Hertfordshire.
In this session, learn about and discuss the issues in sustainable design, from recycling and reusing to packaging and production techniques. Julian will cover ‘what can be done’, and ‘what should be done’ to shift from an unsustainable to a sustainable way of living.
He will also introduce Christopher Petts, founder of Pli Design, an eco-friendly furniture company with sustainable design and manufacturing principles at its heart. Christopher’s work is featured in the Geffrye Museum and he has supplied chairs to the Eden Project in Cornwall. |
