Development of philanthropy in Russia at the present stage is characterized by rather contradictory trends. Over the past few years among the Russian elite fashion appeared to charity. Concerts, marathons, auctions and runs, which brings together resources for the benefit of any organization or people who have become quite common. In this case the preferred objects of charity is not changed greatly: it is mainly children who are sick or orphaned children. Find support for the maintenance of the hospice care of AIDS patients or to support older people is still very difficult. Finally, in Russia there were charitable organizations that rely on private and corporate donors and have successfully engaged in fundraising. They managed to become a real brand of charity, but the problem is that they are negligible, and the other, no less professional and active, but not as "promoted" have a tough time, because all prefer to keep only stars. At the same time the majority of charitable organizations has not yet learned to successful fundraising and attracting followers, and people are also generally prefer to help those in need directly, without funds, which are not trusted. Situation is aggravated by the scandals, sometimes occurring in the environment, charity, like the recent history of the hands with the Foundation "Federation", supported by Putin and Western celebrities in show business. One can speculate about how honestly administers the fund huge funds, which collects, but it is obvious that he is a non-transparent and not too ethical. Others are not so famous and popular organizations, by contrast, tend to all the greater transparency and accountability, building up step by step so hard and so formed is easily broken trust.
