| Description: | Multi agency information sharing is an issue which has raised grave concerns in the public sector of late. With the introduction of Contact Point, more multi agency joint working and Entitlement/Identity Cards this will be even more of a hot topic in the coming year. As a result of the Thomas/Walport report into information sharing, the Government will soon publish a statutory data sharing code of practice to provide practical guidance. This practical workshop will examine this code in detail as well as guide you through the maze of legislation in this area and give you a checklist for compliance. This is essential for all those involved with information law and information management within the public sector.

| Directions: | There are trains to Manchester Piccadilly Station which is half a mile from the hotel. Walking
from Piccadilly station, go out of the main entrance and go downhill and at the second set of
lights turn left. The hotel is on the left (5 mins walk).
Taxis are available outside the station. As you leave the platforms you need to turn left and go
down the escalator to the taxi rank. A taxi will be about £3.
Driving directions can be obtained from many sites on the web such as Google maps or The
AA. There is an NCP car park in Chorlton Road which is 2 minutes from the hotel. Expect
about £10 a day. |
