| Description: | Calshot has the only indoor banked velodrome in the South of England. This national standard track was built in 1997 and can be used by a wide range of cyclists from novices to international standard. As long as you can ride a bike you can have a go under the watchful eye of a coach.
The track at Calshot is a bit shorter than the one pictured, but that makes it more exciting with more and steeper banking!!

The only time we could get was 11-12.30pm, but if keen you can also combine it with some climbing (see below), or if you're a keen windsurfer or kitesurfer Calshot is a great location for that if there's any wind, so that's an option for the daytime too.
Cost for velodrome session, for 1.5hrs and including bike hire and coach is £25pp.
For the climbers, Calshot’s facilities now rate amongst the biggest and best in the country, with over 1200 sq metres of climbing and over 80 rope lines. They have a wide range of routes from easy angled lower walls, for a gentle introduction, through to massive overhangs and roofs, giving routes over 14m in length, guaranteed to test the best. You need to have basic competency to just turn up and use the wall here, so you'd need to do a brief assessment on arrival and then join, which is £4.50, and climbing thereafter is £8.30
