| Description: | Fancy a spot of Welly Throwing or participating in a Spacehopper Race to raise money for Macmillan? Then head to the Wacky Olympics in Lewisham on Saturday 20 August at Mayow Park, Sydenham.
THE WACKY OLYMPICS sports day is a quirky take on the traditional community sports day event, aimed at families living in the Lewisham area. Instead of traditional activities such as the long jump or running, The ‘Wacky Olympics’ family sports day activities require kids and adults to perform silly stunts and physical activities within teams for small prizes (which will be donated by local businesses).
It hopes to bring together people of all ages in the Lewisham community and to encourage people to try various different sporting activities in the run-up to London 2012.
Activities include sports races from two man sack race to a backward sprint dash, and also food & refreshment stalls, arts & crafts, face painting, Bouncy castle, DJ, Indian Head massage and more.....
